Information We Collect When you upload photos to Pixalong, we may collect the following information: Photo Data: The photo file itself, including metadata such as EXIF data, which may include location information (latitude and longitude) if available. Geolocation Data: Attributes like latitude, longitude, country/city name etc. is auto-filled from photo or browser during uploads, if available. Your precise location (e.g., GPS coordinates) will never be made public. However, general place information (such as country, city, or region) may be saved and shown to other users to enhance engagement and contextual relevance of posts. Log Files Like almost all other Web sites, we make use of server and user activity log files. The information inside the log files may include information like internet protocol (IP) addresses, type of browser, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date/time stamp, referring/exit pages, and number of clicks to analyze trends, administer the site, track users movement around the site. IP addresses, and other such information are not linked to any information that is personally identifiable. User uploaded content When you upload a photo to Pixalong, our software tends to automatically analyze embedded data of the picture (That kind of data can be stored to JPEG, RAW and TIFF image file formats). The data can include date, time, camera settings, and possible copyright information. Newer mobile phones and cameras with geo-tagging ability also store this information within a file's embedded data. We may store embedded photo data and original filename for the photo in our database. We also keep a record of insert photoers IP address which enable us to comply with copyright law, fight with illegal content, and to respond to lawful requests by public authorities, including national security, courts, and law enforcement. None of this information is "personal data" that is, data we could use to identify a specific person. Pixalong provides 2 possible levels of privacy for uploaded photos: Users private photos (registered users can mark any post as private) are not searchable within Pixalong, and can't be viewed by anyone other than the user who uploaded the photo/album. Each image might still be accessible via its own URL. Public photos/albums will be publicly viewable if featured by our editors and may be indexed by search engines. Whether public or private, you can choose to delete any photo and any post and all information will be marked for permanent removal from the site. We may also delete some of your uploaded photos or hide parts of them, like human faces for instance, if we find them unsafe for your or anyone elses privacy. Cookies In addition to the automatically collected anonymous data described above, we may place information on your device and then retrieve it later. Connecting Users: The geolocation data helps connect users who have uploaded photos in the same settlement. This allows for a more localized experience, making it easier for users to connect with others in their area. 3. How We Handle Your Geo-location Data Visible Location: While the precise latitude and longitude (precise geo-location) of your photo will be stored in our database, the exact geo-point will not be visible to other users. Instead, users will see the settlement name (municipality, town, or city) where the photo was taken and some random point around the real one. This helps user engagement and provides a localized experience while protecting your privacy. No Precise Geolocation Sharing: Other users will not be able to view the precise latitude and longitude of your photo. The map will only show a generic marker at the settlement level or some random point around the real one. Your exact location will remain private. Optional Geo-location: If you prefer not to include geo-location data, you can disable location services on your device or choose not to upload photos with location metadata. However, keep in mind that this may limit certain features, such as the ability to share photos on the map. 4. These services may have access to your data to perform their functions but are prohibited from using it for any other purpose. 8.
